Sébastien Cicolella was born in Cannes in 1977. After twelve years at the Conservatoire de Musique of Cannes, where he studied piano and rudiments of music, he entered with 16 the CNR of Nice with Robert Persi as jazz piano teacher and also participated to the working sessions of small and large formation together with Jean-Paul Ceccarelli, Christian Pachiaudi, Jean-Marc Baccarini, François Chassagnite and Franck de Luca. Since 1996, he multiplied diverse formations and gave concerts in the entire PACA region. In 1999, he got the gold medal for piano and music rudiments in Jazz, unanimously given by the jury and also graduated in musicology.

His career had then started : in 2001, together with Christian Bailet, he founded the Sébastien Cicolella Trio and recorded their first disc. Very fast, it became a success and earned good critics from jazz lovers and professional press journalists. He now lives between Cannes and Paris and recorded his second album « For the future » in 2006.
